It doesnt duplicate

I have set up a database where I input magazine articles. When I press duplicate, all it does is open another sheet with all the field being blank.
it there something in the design Table (fields.) or the Data entry form layout that I should be pressing to tell  it which fields I want it to be duplicated.

Hi Martin,

I set up the Duplicate button on References, to just duplicate the publication information, as I expected users to enter all reviews in a magazine (for example).

You can choose which fields are included in a Duplicate operation. You are already on the right track.

Click the 'Data entry Form Layout' button, on the toolbar above the References record list.

Against each field, you will find a 'Copied into Duplicate' drop-down. Just set that to 'Yes' for the fields you want to dup.

You will need to go through each tab on the form and do this. The list of tabs is top right, just click one to see the fields in the tab.
